Dio Maddin has a big match in mind when he makes his WWE in-ring debut on the main roster

As noted last night, it was announced on WWE Backstage that the reason why Dio Maddin has not returned to the Monday Night Raw broadcast team is that he wants to continue his wrestling career.

His work as a Raw commentator is something that was suggested to him but he has always wanted to continue wrestling. So, he is back at the Performance Center and it looks like he is not forgetting the attack from Brock Lesnar.

Maddin sent out this tweet: “Matt Riddle moved on to Goldberg so I’ll retire Brock.”

If WWE plans on a Lesnar vs. Maddin match then it won’t happen for a while because Lesnar is not scheduled for any more WWE shows this year. Click here for news on when Lesnar will be back in action.

Maddin is former NFL offensive tackle, Brennan Williams. He played for the Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the New England Patriots. He was signed to a developmental deal in 2016 but was brought up to do commentary on 205 Live a few months ago and then, at the request of Paul Heyman, was brought up to do Raw commentary.
