Maddin has been absent from the Monday Night Raw broadcast booth after being attacked by Brock Lesnar a few weeks ago. In WWE, it’s rare for someone to sell an attack for longer than a week so Maddin’s extended absence has fans wondering what his status is with the company.
It turns out that Maddin has not been at Raw as of late because he wants to continue wrestling. If you recall, he was brought up from NXT to the 205 Live broadcast team and then moved up to Raw at the request of Paul Heyman. So, the attack by Lesnar was a cover excuse to get him off Raw so he could go back to the Performance Center in Orlando.
For now, Samoa Joe will continue on at the broadcast booth until he is cleared to return to the ring. He is currently rehabbing a broken thumb.
The segment below also features news on the return of John Morrison to the company.
