When WWE launched the WWE Network, the majority of traditional pay-per-view outlets stopped carrying WWE PPV events. However, sources say that DirecTV have noted that they are in talks with WWE to once again carry the PPV events.
In the past, DirecTV operators were told to tell customers wondering WWE PPV’s were not available on their service that DirecTV isn’t carrying it and saying it is available on the WWE Network. For Mania, they were instructed not to direct callers anywhere because they are interested in getting back in.
WWE’s next PPV event is Extreme Rules and will take place later this month.
