A couple of readers have asked us what the deal is with Dixie Carter promoting Impact Wrestling on her social media accounts. Does this mean that we’ll see her back on TV? Well, not necessarily.
Carter is still a minority owner so it’s in her best interest to promote the product because she stands to make money if the company becomes profitable.
On Twitter, she took some time to reflect on the infamous storyline that featured her and AJ Styles having an affair. Long-time fans remember that the angle led to a woman named Claire Lynch revealing that she was pregnant with Styles’ baby. The woman who played the role eventually quit the company reportedly because she was fed up with the online harassment from fans about the angle.
Nothing like an innocent affair with AJ Styles. ❤️What a fun & innovatively shot storyline. All the brainchild of @AJStylesOrg @facdaniels @frankiekazarian. Much better than breaking my back! 😉 Check it out on @IMPACTWRESTLING #GSN app #TBT @wwe @ringofhonor #wrestling pic.twitter.com/PHeb5hkSgi

Carter also reminisced about the time Bubby Ray Dudley powerbombed her through a table on an episode of Impact Wrestling in 2014. As the story goes, she broke her back on that bump.
I SWEAR my back has been hurting all day. #legit #BrokenBack #WouldDoItAgain @bullyray5150 I LOVE @IMPACTWRESTLING 💙💙 https://t.co/teeHNdesaB

Carter noted that she was in New York City last week for a business trip. No word on if that trip was related to Impact Wrestling. Impact will run this year’s Bound For Glory in New York City.
