Dolph Ziggler might have signed a new contract with WWE

Dolph Ziggler's WWE contract is set to expire this summer but it looks like the company believes he will be staying. Shawn Michaels was originally scheduled for Wales Comic Con at Glyndwr University in Wales in the United Kingdom on December 1 and 2. However, it was announced that Michaels would not be able to appear and he has been replaced by Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus and Cesaro.

This is interesting because WWE would not be sending Ziggler if they didn't think that he would be staying with them. This could be a sign that he has signed a new deal or he has indicated that he will sign a new deal. Ziggler has indicated before that he was looking at doing other things outside of WWE and there were rumors a couple of years ago that he would leave the company.

Back in April, Ziggler said the following during an interview with Fox Sports Australia: "I’ve asked before to go away for a little while just so everyone can forget I lose 99 times out of 100 and it’s never really come through, so I might have to do it on my own and see what happens."

It looks like things are going well for him during his current run with Drew McIntyre. Ziggler won the Intercontinental Championship from Seth Rollins a couple of weeks ago on Monday Night Raw and is scheduled (not yet announced officially) to defend the title in a rematch at Extreme Rules.
