Dolph Ziggler on Tyler Breeze: “He’s really good, really good. He’s a lot better than I am”

Dolph Ziggler recently spoke with Jan Murphy for The Whig to promote an upcoming WWE event at the Rogers K-Rock Centre. During the interview, Ziggler was asked about helping Tyler Breeze on the main roster. Ziggler admitted that they’re a lot of people that compare him to Breeze because of their similar size and the way they look. “He's really, really good. He's a lot better than I am wrestling, but I had a little bit more main event experience with WWE, so I was more than happy to beat him up in the process but also show him what works and what doesn't,” Ziggler said. Ziggler recalled telling Breeze that he would tell him that he was going to wrestle WWE’s guy (the person the company likes) and to tear the house down, so WWE will see how extra special Breeze is. Ziggler added that it all comes down to timing, injuries and the right place. "Ninety percent of your career's going to be frustrating, but once you get it and they see it, then you're going to run with it and never look back," Ziggler said.

When asked about his role in the company, Ziggler said that there had been a lot of roster changes over the last few years because of indie wrestlers coming in and NXT starts getting called up to the main roster. “My role for the last [several years], no matter what position I'm in, was not passing a torch, but just kind of teaching some people who have been quickly brought up what works,” Ziggler said.

Ziggler also discussed being proud of the SmackDown Live roster and more. You can read the full interview here.
