Dolph Ziggler says he is on hiatus from WWE, talks AEW and more

WSVN-TV entertainment reporter Chris Van Vliet spoke with Dolph Ziggler on Saturday at his home in Phoenix during Royal Rumble weekend.

Ziggler confirmed the big rumor that has made the rounds in the past week as he said that he will no longer be under contract soon. Ziggler said he is “not so sure” on when he will no longer be under contract but he confirmed that he will not be at the Royal Rumble on Sunday.

Ziggler also gave his thoughts on AEW, any possibility of working there, what he thinks about Drew McIntyre and more.

Ziggler recently opened a store on Pro Wrestling Tees but he is using his real name (Nic Nemeth) because he doesn’t own the Dolph Ziggler name.

Ziggler said, “for now, I am on a hiatus with WWE. It took me 10 years to get a weekend off and this is it.” Ziggler said that he would like to be a producer in 10 years but for now if he were to work again for WWE then it would have to be as a wrestler.
