Don’t expect to see Big Show on WWE TV for too long

The Big Show returned to action last week on Monday Night Raw and he was back this week as part of the Fist Fight where he teamed with Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe against Seth Rollins and AOP. However, if you are a fan of the former WCW/WWE Champion then don’t expect to see him around for too long.

As noted on Wrestling Observer Radio, Big Show was not meant to be in the current storyline with Rollins and company for the long-term. In fact, Big Show told ESPN that he didn’t know about his involvement in the storyline until 3 days before he returned to TV.

Dave Meltzer noted that Big Show was only brought in as a favor until Rey Mysterio gets through with his storyline with Andrade. Mysterio is scheduled to get his rematch for the United States Championship in a Ladder Match against Andrade on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. After he finishes up with the feud with Andrade, he is then expected to join Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens.

On this week’s episode, Buddy Murphy joined Seth Rollins and AOP as part of their stable so that means one more babyface is needed on the other side, which could mean that Big Show could stick around for a few more weeks.

Big Show turns 48 next month and he underwent 5 different surgeries related to his hip issues so don’t expect him to take on a full-time road schedule.
