Fans shouldn’t expect to see WWE Champion Brock Lesnar on WWE television for the next month or so.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “Lesnar is back on hiatus until probably around January.”
The belief is that he’ll return to TV in January to start building his feud for his match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. As of this writing, he’s not advertised to appear at any upcoming WWE Raw TV events.
This lines up with his WWE schedule in previous years. For the past three years, he has worked Survivor Series and then took some time off before wrestling at the Royal Rumble.
As seen at the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network, Lesnar successfully retained the WWE Title over Rey Mysterio in a No DQ Match.
Next year’s Royal Rumble takes place on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas and will be streamed live around the world on WWE Network.
The event will feature a 30-Man Royal Rumble match and a 30-Woman Royal Rumble match, with the winners of both matches receiving Championship opportunities at WrestleMania 36.
