As noted last night, the comments from Ronda Rousey on wrestling fans being ungrateful are her true feelings and not part of a storyline.
Dave Meltzer reported today that although everything on Twitter with different women in the company firing back at her looks like it's setting up for Rousey's return, the truth is that Rousey is not returning at this point. Meltzer did expect that someday she will.
As far as why Rousey has been negative on wrestling fans, here is what Dave Meltzer said on Saturday's Wrestling Observer Radio:
"I knew when the Los Angeles fans booed Ronda Rousey and when that Charlotte Flair angle happened. Where Charlotte Flair turned heel on her and they all cheered for Charlotte Flair and they were chanting ‘you deserve it’ when Charlotte beat the hell out of her and she took that beating to get the angle over so the fans would have something believable and the fans changed ‘you deserve it at her.’ I knew that at that point everything changed."
Earlier this week, Nia Jax noted that she had to speak up to management because Bliss was getting hurt in matches by her opponent. She did not name the person but it was strongly implied that she was talking about Rousey and Bliss' tweet on Saturday pretty much confirmed it. Lana was also one of the people upset by Rousey's comments. Click here to hear everything Nia said.
On Saturday night, Rousey tweeted: "Goodnight #ROWDYONES and jabronie marks without a life that don't know it a work when you work a work and work yourself into a shoot, marks"
That tweet was a reference to Hulk Hogan's famous tweet from 2011 that read: "Goodnight HULKAMANIACS and jabronie marks without a life that don't know it a work when you work a work and work yourself into a shoot, marks"
