Dragon Lee has worked his first match under the WWE banner.
He signed with WWE last year before appearing on WWE programming for the first time at Tuesday’s Roadblock event, sitting in the crowd. Lee’s WWE start at the Performance Center was delayed due to him having visa issues.
Prior to joining WWE, Lee worked for the likes of ROH, AAA, and CMLL. He previously did a match in AEW when teaming with his brother Rush and Andrade El Idolo in AEW’s Trios Championship tournament. Post-match, Rush, and Andrade turned on them.
The night it was announced that he signed with WWE, Lee and his brother Dralistico won the AAA Tag Team titles on December 28 at the Noche de Campeones event before vacating the titles.
On Saturday night at an NXT live event, in St. Petersburg, Florida, the recently signed talent wrestled Eddy Thorpe (Karl Fredericks). The two have a connection as they previously wrestled for NJPW.
As previously reported, WWE has high hopes for Lee and the expectation is he will be fast-tracked to the main roster as the company thinks he could be the next great Mexican star such as Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero.
Looks like Dragon Lee is working tonight's #WWENXT House Show in St Petersburg, FL.
