Drake Maverick addresses his strange tweet after fans express concern

Drake Maverick got fans talking with an odd message that was recently sent out on his Twitter account.

The tweet read, “It’s Renee. Drake (James) iis in safe hands being checked over thoroughly by doctors soon. Thanks to all that iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.”

As a result, fans started to express their concerns about Maverick. The former 205 Live General Manager later deleted the tweet and sent out another message to let fans know that he’s okay. He wrote the following:

“I’ve just woke up to a lot of people worried. Have no fear I think somebody was just playing silly buggers with my Twitter. All is well.”

Maverick was among several wrestlers and staff who were released by WWE back in April due to budget cuts related to the financial impact of the coronavirus. Despite the release, WWE still used Maverick in the tournament to crown a new Cruiserweight Champion.

He made it to the finals but fell short when he lost to Santos Escobar. After the match, it was officially confirmed that Maverick had signed a new deal with WWE.

Escobar, Raul Mendoza, Joaquin Wilde vs. Maverick and Breezango in a six-man tag team match has been booked for this Wednesday’s episode of WWE NXT.
