Drew McIntyre ‘Banged Up’ Coming Out Of WWE Bad Blood Match

The Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre opened the WWE Bad Blood Premium Live Event at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA on Saturday night. The finish saw Punk put beads in Drew’s mouth and hit the GTS with a chain to Drew for the win.

Their feud dates back to January when Punk got injured in the Men’s Royal Rumble match in a move with McIntyre. Drew then attacked Punk two nights later on Raw. Punk screwed McIntyre out of the World Title multiple times over the next few months.

They wrestled a singles match at SummerSlam, where Punk put over McIntyre. At Bash in Berlin, McIntyre did the honors for Punk in a strap match.

PWInsider.com reports McIntyre was banged up coming out of the match. It was said that he was legitimately busted open when Punk hit him with the toolbox. As a result, he needed 16 staples to close the wound.

Whether he will miss Monday’s Raw is unclear, but we wish him a speedy recovery.
