Drew McIntyre comments on WWE holding SummerSlam at special venue, possibly wrestling on a boat

Drew McIntyre did an interview with TV Insider to talk about a wide range of topics including this year’s SummerSlam.

McIntyre is set to defend the title against Randy Orton at this show. During the interview, he talked about rumors of SummerSlam possibly being hosted on a beach or an outdoor venue.

We’ve noted earlier on the site that WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon wants to get a different location for the third biggest event of the year for the company.

It’s rumored to be held at Atlantic City, New Jersey, but that isn’t confirmed just yet. In fact, McMahon is keen on a location where fans can attend. Whether that actually happens or not remains to be seen.

What McIntyre can say is that he thinks it’s a good idea for a unique venue and wrestling on a boat would get his attention.

“It would certainly be unique, which is what it’s all about right now. We’re trying to catch people’s attention with something different. The environment at the Performance Center is what it is. But a boat would certainly catch my attention.”

McIntyre also talked about criticism of his title reign, Orton, and more. Check out the full interview here.
