Drew McIntyre Doubles Down On Controversial WWE Locker Room Comments

On the day of his big match at SummerSlam, Drew McIntyre has doubled down on his controversial comments about the WWE locker room. In a new interview, McIntyre challenged anyone who took issue with his previous statement that 85% of the roster doesn’t look like they belong in WWE to confront him directly.

McIntyre Doubles Down On Controversial Comments

While speaking on The Ringer, McIntyre was asked how the locker room reacted to his inflammatory claim. He showed no remorse, suggesting that anyone who watches the product can see he is correct.

“You’ve got eyeballs, you tell me. Am I lying? Would you have said something to me?” McIntyre responded.

‘If You Got A Big Problem, Then Fight Me’

“The Scottish Warrior” then issued a direct challenge to anyone backstage who might have an issue with his words, stating his confidence that he could defeat anyone in a verbal or physical confrontation.

“I always say, if you got a problem, take it up with me. If you got a big problem, then fight me,” he said. “I’m gonna verbally rip you apart. You can try on social media—I can rip you apart on there too. I’m too quick with my brain, I’m too big to beat up, so what you gonna do? If I wasn’t married, I’d take your girl. I ain’t one to mess with.”

McIntyre’s comments come just hours before he is set to step into the ring for Night One of the two-night SummerSlam premium live event at MetLife Stadium. He is scheduled to team with United States Champion Logan Paul to take on the duo of Randy Orton and musical artist Jelly Roll in a high-profile celebrity tag team match.
