Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler are doing their best to get fans excited about their upcoming clash for the top championship on the Raw brand.
McIntyre will make his next defense of the WWE Title against Ziggler at WWE’s next pay-per-view event, Extreme Rules. A stipulation for the contest has yet to be picked.
Last week, Ziggler made an appearance on WWE’s The Bump where he teased that the stipulation that he’ll pick will be unique and something never been done before.
McIntyre did a recent interview with the New York Post where he spoke about the upcoming title defense and the stipulation. This is where he guaranteed that it would be special.
“I know it’s going to be unique. I guarantee it’s something that we’ve never seen before because Dolph is a very smart person. He knows that he can’t match up to me physically, so he’s going to try to play those mind games. We saw it with bringing out Heath (Slater) to try and get inside my head.”
McIntyre dropped an interesting nugget when he mentioned the possibility of the stipulation not being revealed until the night of the show.
“Whatever stipulation Dolph picks at “The Horror Show at Extreme Rules” is gonna be something that’s going to be really difficult for Drew McIntyre to overcome. If he picks a weapons match he knows already I am the weapon. He’s not going to pick a weapons match. It’s going to be something so outside the box that I got to be ready for it, and he’s probably not going to announce it ’til the night.”
McIntyre also talked about his history with Ziggler, possibly working with Randy Orton, and more. Check out the full interview here.
