Drew McIntyre: I’ll fly to Brock Lesnar’s farm to take his WWE Universal Championship

We’re just a couple of weeks away from the Royal Rumble and everyone is gunning for a top spot at WrestleMania. Drew McIntyre has broken out as one of the top guys on the roster. It’s been an amazing transformation from his previous run from the company. He was someone who was pegged to be a top guy but his first run didn’t go as everyone expected.

We recently caught up with him and he told us about his training and his intense training regiment has made a huge difference. McIntyre also noted that he has the same trainer as John Cena and he has stopped drinking and partying.

“I don’t drink and party anymore, so that’s the key,” McIntyre said. “I’m Scottish and I don’t drink.”

So, who does he want to face at WrestleMania? McIntyre gave the smart answer. “I make it very clear on television every week. I came back to WWE with one goal only. Vince McMahon said I was the future of the company about eight years ago. He has a crystal ball [and] it may have taken a minute.”

“If Brock Lesnar has [the Universal Champion], if he wants to show up that’s cool [then] we can wrestle in the ring. If he doesn’t want to show up I’ll fly to his farm, I’m getting the Universal Championship.”

Oh, and McIntyre told us that he has never sneezed in front of Vince McMahon. Smart man.
