The recent departure of Karrion Kross and Scarlett from WWE has been a topic of discussion in the wrestling world. Drew McIntyre, who has experienced his own WWE release and had a successful return, recently offered his thoughts on the situation. McIntyre was released from WWE in 2014 and spent several years on the independent circuit, completely reinventing himself before making a return to the company in 2017.
“They’re Gonna Land on Their Feet”
In an interview with Adam Glyn of Adam’s Apple, McIntyre was asked for his reaction to the Kross news. He was quick to praise the talent of both Kross and Scarlett and shared his confidence in their ability to succeed wherever they go next.
“I know Kross well, very talented. Scarlett, and no matter what they do, they’re gonna land on their feet. I don’t have to give them advice. They know exactly what they’re doing.”
Advice for All
McIntyre then shared some advice based on his own experience, a message that applies not only to Kross but to any performer looking to make a name for themselves. He noted the importance of hard work and finding a unique quality that sets you apart.
“For everybody else, it’s just you’ve got to keep putting the work in. You’ve got to find what separates you from everybody else, as long as you’re working your ass off, and leaving no stone unturned, have been accountable to yourself, to the person in the mirror, don’t worry about social [media], but use social well. Take everybody on your particular journey. That’s what I do.”
