The feud between Randy Orton and WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has been going on since August.
Their first match took place at SummerSlam while the rematch came just one month later at the Payback pay-per-view event in an Ambulance Match. Both bouts saw McIntyre successfully retain the WWE Title.
Now, they’ll be locked inside of the Hell in a Cell structure at Sunday’s themed event. During the feud, Orton’s past issues while in WWE has been put into the spotlight.
This is something that McIntyre talked about in a recent interview with the Metro.
“I was obviously aware of it. I didn’t get jealous, I never had that mentality but it was interesting to hear. I never saw it at the worst, I guess – I heard the stories from the people that were there. I saw enough that I spoke about during the promos live on television. There’s a lot of truth to this story, and the things that Randy got away with. He says himself, he should have been fired a lot of times. The truth is, he was so good, so talented and had so much potential, that’s why he got away with murder.”
McIntyre also talked about 2K Battlegrounds and more. Check out the full interview here.
