Drew McIntyre Reacts To Brock Lesnar’s Controversial WWE Return

Brock Lesnar at the SummerSlam premium live event last weekend. In a new interview, McIntyre offered a surprisingly calm take on the comeback, while also making sure to remind everyone of his own history with “The Beast Incarnate.”

Drew McIntyre’s Reaction To The Brock Lesnar Return

Lesnar’s return at the conclusion of SummerSlam, where he attacked John Cena, was his first appearance in two years and sparked a great deal of controversy due to his name being mentioned in the Janel Grant lawsuit. When asked for his thoughts on the return during an interview with The West Sport, Drew McIntyre gave a straightforward response.

“I just thought, ‘There’s Brock. There he is.’ I didn’t think anything crazy. I just saw him come out. I had finished my last appearance, I got in a plane. I believe I just arrived home in Nashville where I saw it and I went, ‘Oh, there he is.’ Brock is back. He’s the beast, he causes a lot of headlines and most importantly, he’s also the guy I beat in the main event of WrestleMania for my first WWE Championship in five minutes.”

A Controversial Brock Lesnar Comeback

The return of Brock Lesnar at the conclusion of SummerSlam Night Two was a major shock to the wrestling world. It was his first time on WWE programming since SummerSlam 2023. He had been kept off of television after he was named in the amended lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against Vince McMahon and WWE earlier this year. His return saw him lay out John Cena with an F5 after Cena’s Street Fight loss to the new Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes.

McIntyre’s comments come after his own successful weekend at SummerSlam, where he and his partner, Logan Paul, defeated the team of Randy Orton and Jelly Roll on Night One. “The Scottish Warrior” has since continued his rivalry with Orton on this past week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

The next chapter for Brock Lesnar is set to unfold on tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which airs at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network with Cena addressing Lesnar’s actions. The full interview with Drew McIntyre can be found on The West Sport.
