Drew McIntyre Responds To Fan Criticism Of Logan Paul Alliance

Following the events of this past weekend, Drew McIntyre has formed a new alliance with United States Champion Logan Paul, and he has already taken to social media to address criticism from some WWE fans about the pairing.

McIntyre Acknowledges Fan Criticism

After a tag team match pitting McIntyre and Paul against Randy Orton and Jelly Roll was announced for SummerSlam, McIntyre made a post on Twitter acknowledging the response from some corners of the internet. Referencing his “Bored At Work” t-shirt seen in a photo with Paul, McIntyre stated:

“The internet hates this already, which probably means it’s not actually that bad.”

The post also included a link to McIntyre’s merchandise on the WWE Shop, leaving some fans to debate the sincerity of his comment.

New Alliance Formed For SummerSlam

The new team was formed following the events of this past Saturday Night’s Main Event. During McIntyre’s match against Randy Orton, Logan Paul was in McIntyre’s corner while Grammy-winning artist Jelly Roll was in Orton’s. A ringside confrontation between Paul and Jelly Roll ultimately led to the tag team match being made for the August premium live event.

The partnership with Paul did not pay immediate dividends for McIntyre, as the ringside chaos at Saturday Night’s Main Event distracted him and allowed Randy Orton to secure a victory with an RKO. After the match, a frustrated McIntyre attacked Jelly Roll, laying him out with a Claymore Kick. The newly announced tag team match at SummerSlam will serve as an opportunity for McIntyre and Paul to get their revenge.
