Drew McIntyre says not having SummerSlam match is “a little frustrating,” talks learning patience

WWE star Drew McIntyre recently sat down with Cathy Kelley for an interview with WWE Now where he talked about a wide range of topics including how he felt about not being on the SummerSlam card.

McIntyre has been heavily featured on WWE television over the last few months. Despite this, the company didn’t book him in a match on this card at an event that many consider is the third biggest show of the year for WWE just behind WrestleMania and Royal Rumble.

McIntyre stated, “It’s a little frustrating, but the truth is, the thing I’ve learned is patience.”

He would talk about how he’s been heavily featured and that it’s a good thing sometimes to not be there all of the time. He would talk about enjoying everything that comes with being a WWE star including doing media appearances. He called it a sweet gig.

McIntyre ended the interview with a warning about how WWE has two choices.

“Give me a match or I’m gonna beat somebody up. I can’t guarantee it’ll be on camera. I’m just gonna beat somebody up.”

McIntyre’s comments are time stamped. You can watch the entire interview by clicking on the player below:
