Drew McIntyre is no stranger to NXT or what it takes to put on a spectacular match in WWE’s developmental territory. The former Chosen One held the NXT Championship until Andrade Cien Almas dethroned him at NXT TakeOver: WarGames. But it took an actual injury to put McIntyre out of action.
Now that Drew McIntyre is back he jumped right back to the main roster where he has since formed an alliance with Dolph Ziggler. Together the two want to be “The Show” and their mission seems to make everyone around them step up their game.
McIntyre saw NXT TakeOver: Chicago had one thing was on his mind and he couldn’t keep it to himself at all. “I suggest the Raw roster checks out NXT TakeOver tonight,” McIntyre said as he instructed his main roster peers to “ask yourself if you’re working hard enough and truly deserve to be part of the #1 roster in the world.”
They’re out to cut out the complacent sports entertainers in a big way and McIntyre wants to make it his mission to be sure everyone around him is aware of the opportunity they have. After all, Drew Galloway was released from his WWE contract a few years ago and had to find himself and fight to get back to where he is today.
But the NXT Superstars are coming for main roster spots whether the current Superstars sitting on Raw or SmackDown for that matter are ready for them. Because if McIntyre doesn’t eliminate them first, the new talent is coming and NXT TakeOver: Chicago should be a harsh wake-up call they better pay attention to if they’re currently just taking up a spot with no hungry motivation like what we all saw in Chicago on Saturday night.
I suggest the #Raw roster checks out #NXTTakeOver tonight. Ask yourself if you’re working hard enough & truly deserve to be part of the #1 roster in the world. If the answer’s no, this show will be a harsh wake up call of the talent coming for you..if we don’t eliminate you first
