WWE continues to announce things for tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown as a new segment featuring Drew McIntyre has been confirmed.
On the June 10th episode of SmackDown, McIntyre battled Sheamus to a no-contest in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match. WWE Official Adam Pearce later confirmed both stars will compete in the upcoming ladder match.
McIntyre previously issued the challenge for a title match against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the UK stadium show Clash of the Castle event in September.
WWE announced this afternoon on their website that McIntyre will explain on tonight’s show the path he will take to claim the Undisputed Universal Championship.
Three other matches have been already confirmed for tonight’s SmackDown. Those bouts are Intercontinental Champion Gunther vs. Ricochet as well as Sami Zayn vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Shotzi vs. Aliyah in Money in the Bank Qualifying Matches.
WWE has not mentioned if Reigns or Brock Lesnar will appear on tonight’s SmackDown after “The Beast Incarnate” made his return last week to set up their Last Man Standing Match at SummerSlam.
