Drew McIntyre thinks his match at WWE Super Show-Down will steal the show

Drew McIntyre has really shined since being called up to the main roster. McIntyre was initially with WWE back in 2007. He had a fairly successful run in his early days, capturing the Intercontinental Championship and sharing the ring against the likes of The Undertaker.

Eventually, however, he’d soon phase out of serious singles competition. After serving some time on a comedic faction alongside Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater (Three Man Band), McIntyre was handed his walking papers in 2014. After a few years of reinventing himself on the indies, McIntyre was brought back to WWE and begun working in NXT. He captured the NXT Championship before eventually dropping it to Andrade “Cien” Almas.

Now, McIntyre if one-half of the Raw Tag Team Champions on the main roster. Alongside Dolph Ziggler, the pair are a huge part of the main event right now. McIntyre, Ziggler, and Braun Strowman are currently embroiled in a feud with The Shield (WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose). The six will compete in a Six-Man Tag Team match at the WWE’s Super Show-Down in Australia this weekend (Sat. October 6, 2018).

Speaking to “The Overnight Crowd” podcast recently, McIntyre explained why he thinks their match will steal the show, despite the card being stacked with huge names:

“Like you just mentioned, all the guys in the match are so talented,” McIntyre said. “I got the opportunity to work with every one of them, and they are as good as they say, and everyone else says they are. And yeah, if you look at the talent on the show, you got Triple H versus The Undertaker on the same show, and it will be a very bold statement to say, “We’re going there to steal the show”. You can quote me on that, because we’re going in there, and we are going to steal the show.”
