The top WWE star has turned heel and been praised for his character work on television heading into WrestleMania season. His contract is slated to expire after WrestleMania.
He won the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match last Saturday, outlasting Randy Orton, Bobby Lashley, LA Knight, Kevin Owens, and Logan Paul. As a result of the win, Drew will challenge World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40.
Rumor killer
There was a rumor going around on Tuesday that McIntyre had signed a new deal with WWE. Pwinsider reports that is not the case, and nothing has changed regarding McIntyre’s contract situation.
Everyone in WWE is working on the assumption that a deal will be reached eventually. It was added that McIntyre legitimately burst his eardrum in the chamber bout. It doesn’t look like he will miss any time, as he was on Monday’s Raw in San Jose.
