Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell delivered a harsh critique of “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair following Flair’s recent controversial social media posts, including a jab at Jim Ross’s cancer update and sharing a sexually suggestive “Wooooo Compromise” document. Speaking on his “Story Time With Dutch Mantell” podcast, Mantell called Flair a “dick,” questioned his intelligence, and stated Flair “needs to shut up.”
The discussion began with Flair’s now-deleted tweet that called Jim Ross “attention seeking” for providing an update on his cancer recovery. Mantell reacted strongly: “Why would he say that? Because he’s a dick. No kidding. What difference does it make to to Ric Flair, the man’s sick, and he was just telling people what’s going on with him… He needs to shut up. He really does.”
Host James Romero noted Flair later claimed the tweet was a joke, but Mantell was unconvinced. This led to a discussion about Flair’s intelligence. “Let me ask you, what do you think Ric Flair’s IQ is, actually, is?” Mantell pondered, eventually suggesting, “I would say between 80 and 90… He’s not the smartest student in the classroom… you won’t sit down and have any kind of physics discussion with Ric Flair.” He later revised his estimate downwards to “the 70s” after discussing Jim Ross’s story about Flair exposing himself with a “boner” at Gary Juster’s wife’s party years ago, an act Mantell called “really unforgivable” and “embarrassing.”
The conversation then shifted to another deleted Flair post: an image of a mock contract titled “The Wooooo Compromise,” which outlined terms for “riding Space Mountain” and engaging in sexual relations, claiming Flair’s “signed and sealed approval” and “utmost respect for women.” Mantell reacted with incredulity: “He, he’s nuts.” He even speculated, “I bet he did have some signatures on that thing, you know, they went ahead with the joke.”
Romero pointed out the irony of Flair, who has faced public allegations of sexual misconduct (notably in the “Dark Side of the Ring” episode about the “Plane Ride from Hell”), posting such a document. Mantell concluded that Flair “does himself no favors” with such actions.
