During the second part of their interview on “Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia,” Rusev and Lana revealed they will not be on Total Divas next season.
Lana says Kevin Dunn told them that a spinoff show was a possibility for them but E! Network execs made the decision to take them off Total Divas because focus groups did not like them. Lana got emotional and talked about how the way the show is edited can change how things come across on TV and the whole experience taught her a valuable lesson.
“There’s so many things in edit that I was royally screwed over,” Lana said. “They take someone saying something from one thing and put it there. In edit, they can do whatever they want and that’s out of your control. If they want to make me more annoying and I have to play that annoying girl, they’ll do that.”
Rusev, when asked if he’d like to return to the show, said he would rather have his own show and added that he likes to move forward whenever a negative situation comes up.
The couple says they have been working on two different shows outside of WWE and it’s something they’ve discussed with Dunn.
