Several WWE feuds will continue at next month’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, which explains why the WWE Championship match ended in a disqualification and explains Randy Orton teasing an attack on Jeff Hardy at SummerSlam.
The local ads in San Antonio, Texas are promoting the following matches:
– AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe for the WWE Championship
– Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton
– Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre
They are also promoting Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens but that was first sent out to the arena weeks ago. It’s more likely that we’ll see Reigns vs. Braun Strowman as the main event because they are scheduled for upcoming live events. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Reigns/Strowman was the plan for the top feud after SummerSlam.
The Hell in a Cell pay-per-view will take place on Sunday, September 16 in San Antonio. We were told that this is considered somewhat of a placeholder show and some of these feuds will carry over into the Super Show-Down event taking place on October 6 from Melbourne, Australia.
