WWE will air a special NXT episode on Wednesday, November 6, at 2300 Arena, formerly the ECW Arena, in Philadelphia. The episode will air live on The CW starting at 8 p.m. ET.
PWInsider previously reported that ECW original Bubba Ray Dudley is set to be in attendance for NXT. This was before Sunday’s Halloween Havoc, where Dudley made the save for NXT Champion Trick Williams, who had retained the title over Ethan Page in the main event.
After the bout, Ridge Holland and Page jumped Williams before Dudley cleared house. Although not confirmed, it appears they’re setting up a tag team match for the 2300 Arena show.
While speaking with The Takedown, Tony D’Angelo mentioned a few ECW originals he’d like to see at the show. He named the FBI faction.
He said, “I’m unable to speak on the company’s behalf as far as that goes, but do I selfishly want that to happen? Absolutely. I think that would be very cool, especially with all the history that FBI has in that building. I think it would be great for the D’Angelo Family to work with the FBI. We’ll see what Nunzio is doing. Maybe I’ll give him a call. I know a few guys that he works with, so maybe we can put something together.”
The Full Blooded Italians were a mainstay of the promotion until the bitter end before entering WWE. The faction included Nunzio, Tony Mamaluke, Big Sal E. Graziano, Vito, Tracy Smothers, and others.
