Edge defends Torrie Wilson over criticism about WWE HOF induction

Former WWE star Torrie Wilson has received some criticism about being inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame class this year.

She joins Harlem Heat (Booker T & Stevie Ray), The Honky Tonk Man and DX (X-Pac, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, and Chyna) as members of this year’s class.

This year’s ceremony will take place on April 6, 2019 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, which is the same weekend as WrestleMania 35.
WWE Hall of Famer Edge gave his take on E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness podcast about the induction and Wilson getting negative feedback from fans.

“They did what they could with what they were given,” Edge professed. “I think it’s cool. I think it’s super cool because I think a lot of that era – and not their fault – I mean, in terms of the writing and the booking has not aged well and that is strictly because of the way it was presented. So I think it’s cool.”
