Edge explains why he welcomes WWE using celebrities in prominent spots

While speaking to Logan Paul on the Impaulsive podcast, Edge discussed a wide range of topics, including his thoughts on WWE using celebrities in prominent spots instead of full-time stars.

In recent years, WWE has used the likes of Johnny Knoxville, Bad Bunny, and Paul. With Paul, he’s worked the most matches of the names mentioned above as he is on a part-time deal. Bunny will meet Damian Priest in a street fight next Saturday at Backlash.

Regarding criticism of WWE using celebrities, Edge thinks people will find something to be upset about.

“S**t, they call me a part-timer. The jaded malcontents are always gonna have something to complain about, right? Here’s how I look at it,” Edge stated.” You step in there. You’re good with me. And I’ve always looked at it as if you can bring eyeballs to our product, you’re my friend. That’s what it’s about. If you’re truly comfortable in your position within wrestling and within this company, then you don’t sweat that, you welcome it.”

After Paul brought up only working four times a year, Edge noted that everyone has a different path in wrestling.

“You know, it’s a different path for everybody, though. It just is. For me, I saw this when I was 10, and I went, that’s it,” Edge added.
