Edge on the challenges of wrestling Randy Orton in an empty arena at WrestleMania 36

Edge recently did an interview with Gorilla Position where he spoke about a wide range of topics.

The media outlet released a clip from the interview of the WWE Hall of Famer discussing his match with Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 36. Although not officially announced, the company is expected to confirm this bout will be a Last Man Standing Match at the show.

The event will be held over the course of two nights from multiple locations. Wherever this match is held, there will not be any fans in attendance due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Edge brought up how this will be the only empty arena match held at WrestleMania. He did recall Mick Foley vs. The Rock at Halftime Heat in 1999 being in an empty arena but that wasn’t held at WrestleMania.

“Nothing like WrestleMania in an empty Performance Center, it just hasn’t been done. It’s not ideal, we all get it, we have to make do, we have to figure out, we have to adapt.

That’s what this whole thing will be. I know I feel confident because I know in Randy, I have one of the, I don’t say this lightly, one of the best ever or possibly, and it’s all subjective, the best to ever do this.

You get my brain and his natural ability on this thing, and I’m excited. I’m excited of what we can do and what we can bring to the audience. All bets are off, there are no rules, it’s an entirely blank canvas.”
