WWE Hall of Famer Adam “Edge” Copeland recently spoke with Brian Mazique of Forbes about various topics. During the interview, Edge was asked if he gave any advice to both Daniel Bryan and Corey Graves, who had to retire from pro wrestling due to concussions. Edge said that they are two intelligent guys, who know how to land on their feet and look at the bigger picture in their lives. He stated that he has not talked to them, but he’d like to think that they both know that they could have spoken with him about the subject. “A healthy perspective is to understand that life doesn’t, and can’t revolve around the industry,” Edge said.
Edge was asked about the crossover from MMA to the WWE and vice versa. Guys like Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio, and Ken Shamrock have done it. The interviewer brought up the speculation of former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey crossing over from the UFC to the WWE. ““I think they’re different branches on the same tree,” Edge said. He also thinks that same thing can be compared to football and other sports. “I don’t think it hurts or helps for people to hop back and forth.”
