WWE Hall of Famer Edge did an interview with USA Today’s For The Win to promote WrestleMania 36.
During the interview, he was asked about what he thought of Drew McIntyre stating in a recent interview that he thinks Edge vs. Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match should get top billing for one of the nights.
Although not confirmed, the belief is that McIntyre vs. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will likely main event the other night. For the latest news on the match order of the card, click here.
Edge stated, “I mean, not really. It really doesn’t. My mindset is our match is going to be tough to follow. It really is, and that’s what my job is, is to make it tough to follow. So if you want to put it on in the middle, if you want to put it on in the beginning, good luck following it.
If it’s on last, great, but that doesn’t change my mindset going into it. My mindset is to continue to tell this story, and for my first singles match back in nine years, I want to start this second chapter since coming back at the Royal Rumble, I want to keep that momentum going. I want to show people I’ve taken this craft to a different level than I did it before.”
Edge also talked about working in an empty arena, his initial reaction to the event being moved from a stadium to WWE’s training facility and more. You can read the entire interview here.
