Edge Removed From WWE’s Internal Roster

There has been speculation for the last several weeks about what Edge will do next in his pro wrestling career as his deal with WWE expires this month. Edge noted he had a contract extension offer from WWE in his inbox in a Twitter video.

He worked the last match on his current WWE deal in late August on SmackDown with a win over Sheamus.

His WWE deal expires on Saturday and he is able to sign with any promotion he wants including AEW, with the possibility that he makes his debut at WrestleDream this Sunday.

AEW has been interested in him since 2019, one of the reasons he got the offer he received from WWE at the time to come back and wrestle after being medically cleared to compete again.

There has been a ton of speculation that he’s AEW-bound, with some believing he was the masked attacker on Dynamite.

Pwinsider reports the WWE Hall of Famer is no longer listed on the miscellaneous list of the WWE internal talent roster. WWE.com still lists him as an active performer.

Edge had been moved from the internal active roster to the company’s miscellaneous list, which features talents who are injured/inactive, last month.
