Grayson Waller welcomed Edge to his Grayson Waller Effect segment tonight on WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
Waller said that Edge has saved his money and then asked why he’s still in WWE. Waller then said that Edge was on the show tonight to announce his retirement and tonight would be his final time in Madison Square Garden. Edge said that he’s not retiring and he will have a match tonight on SmackDown against Waller.
The retirement talk is a reference to Edge stating last year that he wanted to end his career this year at a show in Toronto. However, he seemed to walk those comments back somewhat in an interview he did a few weeks ago.
