During a backstage segment, Edge said he wants to face Seth Rollins in Madison Square Garden for next week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
Edge issued the challenge after Seth Rollins brutally attacked Cesaro. During the Rollins vs. Cesaro match, Rollins did a lot of Edge’s trademark spots and after the match used a portion of a steel chair to lock him in the crossface submission just like Edge was doing to Roman Reigns and The Usos a couple of months ago.
WWE is loading up next week’s show in MSG because it was also announced that Brock Lesnar will be on the show next week and he wants to see Roman Reigns. That news was delivered to Paul Heyman via a phone call from Lesnar and Heyman delivered the news to Reigns.
Another segment announced for next week the contract signing between SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair. They will wrestle at Extreme Rules.
