Edge had his final match on his current contract tonight on WWE Friday Night SmackDown. It may also be the final match of his career.
Throughout the show, WWE showed videos from various current and former Superstars celebrating Edge’s career. As Edge came out to the ring for the match with Sheamus, Michael Cole acknowledged the online rumors and said that Edge should “tear it up” if this is indeed his last match. Edge’s family were at ringside for the match.
They had a hard hitting match with Edge pulling out some moves that he hasn’t done in years. Edge won the match after hitting 2 spears. Post-match, Edge and Sheamus hugged as they went off the air.
