Edge's injury will force WWE to change SummerSlam plans

As noted earlier, Adam "Edge" Copeland was injured during his match with Randy Orton at WWE Backlash.

Since the match was taped last week, WWE tried to hide the injury until after the match since they couldn't talk about it until after Backlash.

A torn triceps usually means at least 4 months out of action but he could be out up to 8 months if it's more severe. It's unclear yet if he will need surgery.

This is obviously another big blow for WWE because they are already without three big stars: Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch, and Bray Wyatt. Reigns is out due to coronavirus concerns, Lynch is out due to her pregnancy and Wyatt has been out so he could be home with his newborn baby.

Edge was one of the big names that was scheduled for SummerSlam in August and there was talk that he would wrestle Randy Orton in one final match on that show. The triceps injury means WWE will have to come up with alternate plans for Orton.
