As noted, Enzo Amore was injured during the opening match at Sunday’s Payback PPV event. Amore and Colin Cassady were wrestling The Vaudevillains in the tag team championship finals when Amore was sent head first into the ropes. It appears that he knocked himself out, and the match was called off. Amore was stretchered out of the arena.
WWE later confirmed that Amore suffered a concussion and was released from the hospital late Sunday night.
Amore has been pulled from all WWE events until May 20th. He was diagnosed with a severe concussion so it’s possible that he’ll be out of action after May 20. It would depend on the results of his next concussion test.
