Eric Angle, the brother of WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle, is in hot water after video was captured that shows him lifting a youth wrestler by his neck and tossing him down to the mat following a loss at the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Championships.
According to WTAE TV in Pittsburgh, Angle was charged with simple assault by University of Pittsburgh police. He gave the following quote to the news station:
“I should have just walked away and let him get thrown out. Instead, I’m the one who embarrassed myself even more.”
In a Facebook post, Angle said he was just trying to keep the child from messing up but he ended up making things worse. He apologized and said his heart was broken about the situation.
Eric Angle was signed to a WWE developmental deal from 2000 to 2003 and only made brief appearances on WWE television. Fans may remember that he appeared on SmackDown during the hype for the Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar match for WrestleMania 19. He left the wrestling business in 2003.

There are some disgusting individuals around the sport of wrestling.
It’s sickening to see a coach pick a kid up by his throat and abuse him like this. pic.twitter.com/lEDXhE0kR8
