On the latest episode of 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff shared high praise for Matt Riddle after watching a recent interview and predicted the former WWE star will eventually return to the company.
“He is an incredibly intelligent guy. It’s so easy to write him off because of the way he presents himself, but if you underestimate that guy intellectually… he’s a very, very smart man,” Bischoff said. “I would not be surprised if he’s not back in WWE.”
He also explained why he feels a move to AEW would be a “bad choice” for Riddle at this point in his career.
“He would need to be in an environment where he had a lot of people that he could work with, that he could get chemistry with. I’m not sure that you could get that in AEW,” Bischoff opined. “For Matt to have fun, he’s gotta be able to work with the right people. I just don’t think there’s enough of them.”
