I think it's very obvious that there is a huge problem right now with Roman Reigns. He was a non-factor in the show last night and the crowd didn't seem to care for him. I figured I would wait until I got emails from fans that were at the show last night because sometimes a crowd can come across flat on TV but in reality it's louder than it seems at the arena.
Several people were over at last night's show in Pittsburgh. John Cena was over with the kids of course and at least when people boo him it means that people at least care to some degree. Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Bray Wyatt, and Undertaker's music/pyro got big reactions. Roman Reigns? Nothing. There were a few boos and cheers but for the most part the crowd did not care for him and I was told that there were quite a few fans leaving during the main event.
The thing is that it's not Roman's fault. If the company would have been patient and given him more time to develop then perhaps he would have been ready at next year's WrestleMania. Instead you have a main event that is being carried by Paul Heyman's promos and Daniel Bryan coming off as an average mid-card guy in a meaningless ladder match for a meaningless title.
A couple of weeks ago I was thinking that perhaps fans would get on the Roman Reigns bandwagon at WrestleMania since they know Brock is leaving (or might be leaving). The fans turned on the Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar match at WrestleMania 20 but somehow I don't think that will the case this time. Fans will be silent throughout the match and not care or they will hate Roman Reigns and cheer Brock and that's not a good sign for Reigns' future as a their next John Cena.
