Many fans who watched last night’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown were not happy to see Naomi defeated by Lacey Evans.
The loss to Evans follows last week’s karaoke segment that included Naomi, Evans, Dana Brooke and Tamina and many fans compared it to the diva segments that were a regular thing on WWE shows many years ago.
After SmackDown, fans took to Twitter and they got the hashtag #NaomiDeservesBetter to trend in the United States because of the feeling that WWE is burying Naomi instead of pushing her like a top star. People in WWE management may disagree that Naomi is being “buried” but it’s clear that many fans on social media feel that she is being overlooked.
Here is some of the reaction from fans on Twitter and scroll down to read Naomi’s tweet.
Had the biggest pop of any women in her return at the Royal Rumble, went viral for WEEKS yet they decide to have women like Dana & Lacey beat Naomi when she is by far better all around & has a much larger following/interest…. this is a fucking joke #NaomiDeservesBetter pic.twitter.com/n9OJ3PMJcs

She literally went viral when she returned. She’s been in this company for so long and works harder than most of the roster. All we want is better treatment for her. #NaomiDeservesBetter pic.twitter.com/KXDttRH2bu

It's been over 5 years since Naomi cut this promo and it's awful that it still remains relevant. She needs to stop being overlooked and WWE y'all are dumb cuz she could easily make you A TON of money. She is an incomparable star and talent! #NaomiDeservesBetter pic.twitter.com/CeKCyedvzW
