Fans upset at no women's matches at live events this weekend but WWE has a good reason

Several fans have emailed us to ask about women not being at Friday's WWE live event in Peoria, Illinois. The reason for this is because they were given a couple of extra days off so they could prepare for Sunday's Money In The Bank pay-per-view. This will allow them to work out intricate ladder spots. The same thing happened on the day before the women's Royal Rumble match.

I should also note that Braun Strowman was pulled from advertising and did not appear at the live event on Friday night and AJ Styles was not booked to appear in Dubuque on Saturday night. It's not clear why they were not booked but it could simply be because they wanted the time off. Quite frankly, I understand fans being upset but WWE should be commended for granting more time off to wrestlers. One of the benefits of having such a large roster is that they can rotate wrestlers at shows since they no longer have the pressure to feature everyone at every show.

The main event at Friday's show was Roman Reigns, Finn Balor and Bobby Lashley defeating Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Jinder Mahal. Reigns had last weekend off.
