During an interview with ComicBook.com, Lana says people have made threats to her and WWE and the FBI had gotten involved.
She said, “Having death threats on me and the FBI has had to call me and protect me. And I get death threats on my comments on Instagram, on Twitter. I mean, people are bullies. I mean today I opened my email account and I had this death threat on my email.”
In October, during a video posted on Lana’s YouTube account, Lashley said he’s received death threats and said he’s been getting horrible comments from some fans.
The storyline has been met with mixed reactions by fans on social media. Some like it and have compared it to storylines from the Attitude Era but others just want WWE to move on to something else.
What can’t be denied is that this storyline is doing above average quarter-hour numbers for WWE and their YouTube views regularly beat most of the other segments posted every week. So, for those reasons, don’t expect this storyline to end anytime soon.
