It looks like WWE is putting together another Mae Young Classic and fans are on high alert to the goings on of their favorite female indie worker.
Bryan Alvarez let everyone know during Wrestling Observer Live that the next set of tapings will take place on August 7th and 8th. Those two dates fall on a Tuesday and Wednesday in case you’re keeping track.
WWE went all out with promoting the historic nature of their first women’s tournament last year but it’s unknown how far they’ll go promoting the second edition, but the talent should still be amazing.
We previously reported that Io Shairi could be coming closer to a WWE deal and Toni Storm was also mentioned on Wrestling Observer Live seeing how she’s been rumored to be a part of WWE’s United Kingdom tour in June.
Plenty of other names would make fine additions to both the WWE Women’s Division and Mae Young Classic but only time will tell who they end up bringing in this year.
