Final Card For WWE Heatwave Revealed

The final card for this Sunday’s WWE Heatwave premium live event has been set. The main event is now official after a number one contender’s match on last night’s episode of NXT, and a new mixed tag team bout has also been added to the lineup.

Je’Von Evans’s Heatwave Main Event

In the main event of Tuesday’s NXT broadcast, Je’Von Evans defeated TNA World Champion Trick Williams to become the new number one contender for the NXT Championship. The victory came after a distraction from Mike Santana, who continued his rivalry with Williams. Evans will now challenge NXT Champion Oba Femi for the title at Heatwave this Sunday.

A New Mixed Tag Team Match For Heatwave

Also on last night’s show, a new mixed tag team match was added to the card. Following a failed “peace summit” segment, the team of NXT North American Champion Ethan Page and Chelsea Green will now face Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele at the premium live event. The finalized card for Heatwave, which streams live this Sunday, August 24, on Peacock in the US and Netflix internationally, is as follows:

  • NXT Championship: Oba Femi (c) vs. Je’Von Evans
  • TNA Knockouts World Championship: Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Masha Slamovich vs. Ash by Elegance
  • NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Match: Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan vs. Lola Vice
  • NXT Tag Team Championships: Hank Walker & Tank Ledger (c) vs. two members of DarkState
  • Jordynne Grace vs. Blake Monroe
  • Ethan Page & Chelsea Green vs. Tavion Heights & Tyra Mae Steele
