As we noted earlier, WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor was injured during his match with Seth Rollins at SummerSlam.
Dave Meltzer is reporting that there is fear that he would need surgery. If that is the case then he will be out of action for an extended period of time and WWE would have to rewrite their storyline plans and they will likely have to figure out what to do with the Universal Championship.
We should know more regarding the severity of his injury after Balor gets his evaluation from WWE doctors.
